DeSaulnier To Give Update On Trump Impeachment, 25th Amendment
The Congressman invites constituents to participate as he gives an update as Congress works to hold President Trump accountable.
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — U.S. Rep. Mark DeSaulnier (D-CA) invited constituents to attend a virtual town hall Tuesday during which he will "discuss the mob attack on the U.S. Capitol and provide an update on what House Democrats are doing to hold President Trump accountable."
The live virtual event is set to begin at 2 p.m. Pacific Time Tuesday on Zoom and is open to members of the public and press, DeSaulnier said. The event is scheduled to last for one hour and can also be watched via live stream on Rep. DeSaulnier’s Facebook page (Facebook.com/repmarkdesaulnier).
"The President tried to undermine American democracy and subvert the will of the people," DeSaulnier said about the events of Jan. 6 when a mob claiming to be Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol where members of Congress were gathered to confirm President-elect Joe Biden's victory in the November 2020 election.
