A new website compiles a massive amount of data looking at the mental and physical well-being of the state's youth. See how kids in your district compare.

Almost one out of ten high school juniors in Contra Costa County feel unsafe at school. High school freshmen in Lamorinda are the fittest in the county. Nearly nine percent of Contra Costa Countyβs high school juniors have recreationally used prescription drugs. More than one out of 10 seventh graders in Mount Diablo Unified School District report some type of involvement in a gang.
Thatβs just a fraction of the information available on aΒ new website looking at the physical and mental health of Californiaβs youth. Drawing from a variety of sources, including theΒ California Healthy Kids SurveyΒ and the stateΒ Department of Education,Β kidsdata.orgΒ aims to promote βthe health and well being of children by making trustworthy information easily accessible.β
