Downtown Thrift Store is Bursting at the Seams
The Rainbow Community Center's "Everything Under the Rainbow" thrift store on Pacheco is knocking down walls to make room for donations and new customers, according to management.
Concord's very own "gay Goodwill" has been experiencing such growing popularity that the thrift store is having to knock down walls to make more space for goods and customers.
Everything Under the Rainbow, run by the Rainbow Community Center, has seen a steady stream of donations since it first opened in spring 2012. The customer base has been growing too, says store manager Jimmy Gale.
"Profits are up," said Gale, who added that the store will soon be expanding its opening hours to include Sundays.Â

Formerly a single room with a smaller room attached, Everything Under the Rainbow has since merged the two, opening up its layout to make for a more spacious environment. There are also plans for another large wall to be knocked through, expanding the store floor into what is currently the donation-sorting area.
Everything Under the Rainbow has also started its own eBay store, to sell the valuables and collectibles that are donated.Â
