'Family Is Everything': Mother's Day Photos

CONCORD, CA — Whether it's through their personality, looks, hobbies or a combination of everything, daughters become a reflection of the woman who raised them. With Mother's Day 2018 this Sunday, we are celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across California to share their "mother-daughter lookalike" photos.
Concord resident Kelly Besmil sent these photos of her mother Karen, who lives in Alameda. Kelly tells Patch, 'Family is everything to me! I am grateful to my mother for raising us "girls" as a single parent and not to mention was widowed twice. She is my world.' Happy Mother's Day, Karen!
