FBI Raids Concord Home, Confiscates Drugs

Mexican drug cartel busted in Concord.

TheΒ Federal Bureau of InvestigationsΒ raided four East BayΒ cities including Concord, CaliforniaΒ Tuesday morningΒ looking forΒ Mexican drug cartel members. Β 

At about 6 a.m. law enforcement officials began executing search and arrestΒ warrants, according to Peter Lee, FBI spokesperson. AuthoritiesΒ from the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department descended upon Concord, Pittsburg, Antioch, and Oakley, California to find six people suspected of being part of a drug distribution ring that goes all the way up the Pacific Northwest, Lee told Patch.

Authorities confiscated methamphetamine and cocaine during the raids.Β Authorities could not disclose how much was confiscated or the locations of the arrests.Β 

The four people who were apprehended will be arraigned in Oakland onΒ Wednesday morning.Β  It is unclear if they are Mexican or American citizens. Β
