Firefighters prevented a fire that engulfed a home in Concord Wednesday evening from spreading to neighboring homes, according to Contra Costa County fire officials.
Firefighters arriving in the 2700 block of Bonafacio Street found 80 percent of the home in flames, according to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.
Firefighters from Concord, Pacheo, Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek protected surrounding homes from the fire spreading and eventually got the fire under control and contained to the original home, fire officials said.
No injuries were reported.
