Funds Raised For Family of 2 Contra Costa Co. Boys Killed In Hwy 4 Crash
Breaking: A fundraising campaign following the tragic loss of the 5- and 10-year-old brothers has already garnered more than $21,000.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA -- The tragic loss of two young Contra Costa County boys in a hit-and-run crash late Friday night on Highway 4 in Concord has spurred a fundraising campaign in their honor.
The boys, 10-year-old Lorenzo Reyes and 5-year-old Vincent Reyes-Rothenberg of San Pablo, were returning with family members from seeing a drive-in movie when the Dodge Durango they were riding in was struck by an oncoming car on the Solano Way on-ramp to Highway 4.
The two young brothers were pronounced dead at the scene while a third child, a 3-month-old boy restrained in a car seat, suffered major injuries and was in critical condition at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, CHP Officer Brandon Correia said.

The boys' 35-year-old mother also suffered major injuries and was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, but was released to go home with family Sunday night, Correia said.
It was a fun family night that ended in devastation, according to a GoFundMe account set up in their memory. More than $21,000 had been donated through the online campaign as of Wednesday morning.

Lemuel Sirvonn Wilson, Jr., 35, the Infiniti driver suspected of hitting the family's SUV, then fleeing the scene, was located at a hospital early Sunday and arrested on suspicion of two counts of vehicular manslaughter, hit-and-run causing great bodily injury and driving on a suspended or revoked license, according to Correia.
