Mayor's Healthy Cook-Off Challenge To Be Held in Todos Santos
The annual competition aims to encourage healthy cooking and eating.

The 5th Annual Mayor’s Healthy Cook-Off Challenge takes place July 18 in Todos Santos Plaza, pitting local chefs against one another for the healthiest, tastiest dish.
Mayors from several cities in Contra Costa County will bring a chef and participate in an Iron Chef-style cook-off, according to the City of Concord. Each chef will be given a grocery bag containing a protein item and produce from local farmers and must use all the items to create a dish. Judging will take place at 6:30 p.m.
The Mayor’s Healthy Cook-Off is presented by Wellness City Challenge and aims to "highlight the importance of healthy eating, and encourage people from all cities in the county to include fresh fruits and vegetables in their meals," according to a press release. "As leaders in their communities, organizers welcome all Contra Costa mayors to take part in this friendly competition that promotes good health."
