Monument First 5 Center To Host Open House Thursday
The center offers free classes and resources for parents with young children.

Concord's Monument Community First 5 Center has spent the past year offering free resources, classes and groups to parents with children under the age of 5. For those who've yet to try the free services, the center is holding an opening day on Thursday, Aug. 1.Â
"Over 250 families have taken classes and participated in special events offered by the Monument First 5 Center this year," said Director Margaret Haller in an email to Patch. "Through fun filled activities, parents learn more about their young children while receiving support from other parents in their communities."
The Monument Community First Five Center will celebrate its anniversary with the "fun filled" open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1736 Clayton Road. The event will include refreshments, demonstrations of center classes and an opportunity to meet staff and hear about the services offered at the center.Â
