Onstage Theatre Presents "Let Me Hear You Smile"

"LET ME HEAR YOU SMILE" is a wonderful and spirited comedy

"Let Me Hear You Smile" written by Leonora Thuna and Harry Cauley. The play revolves around the difficulties of love and marriage through youth, menopause, and senility. Faced with these problems are "Hannah", her husband "Neil" and her brother "Willy". The play works life backwards. Our first introduction to the characters is when they prepare for retirement and time is the 1970's, next in the 1940s as they approach middle-age, and finally as children in the early 1900's.

The play stars Sheliah Morrison as "Hannah", Sal Russo plays her husband and Wayne McRice is her younger brother. Helen Means directs and after reading the story knew that it is one our audiences would really enjoy. It has lots of humor, but also lots of insight. She also knew she wanted to cast older to become younger as opposed to younger becoming older. It makes a real challenge for the three performers and so far she is really pleased with the result. The setting is by Diane McRice, Randy Nott doing the lighting, and sound and costumes are by C.C. Cardin.

The show opens Saturday August 22 and continues through September 5 Performances are on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM; Thursday Sept 3 at 8:00 PM and Sundays August 23 & 30 at 2:30 PM Tickets are $15 general; $12 seniors (60 and over) ~ Thursday's show is $10 for everyone.
