Ready to Get Messy? Bring Your Bib to the Clayton Rib Cook-Off

The 4th Annual Rib Cook-Off takes place at the Clayton Club on Aug. 10.

Local barbecue enthusiasts will go rib-to-rib Saturday in the 4th Annual Rib Cook-Off competition.

The event is hosted by the Clayton Business and Community Association (CBCA) at the Clayton Club Saloon on Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and includes live music, drinks, hamburgers, hot dogs and ribs, ribs and more ribs.

Up to 28 rib masters will be cooking from 6 a.m. for a chance at a cash prize of up to $300 and a trophy — determined by the judges. A "people's choice" award will go to a favorite chosen by event attendees.

The ribs are St. Louis-style, which means they'll be saucy and delicious, as well as very messy.

Do you love ribs and need a bib? There are plenty of disposable "rib-bibs" online that can even be customized.
