Record-Breaking Temperatures Heat Up Concord

Saturday will be the hottest day, with temperatures expected to hit triple digits. How are you planning to stay cool?

The week started as it meant to go on — with scorching sunshine and record-breaking temperatures.

Concord is expected to swelter in the 90s all the way through Sunday. The peak of the heat will hit on Saturday as temperatures rise to 100 degrees and stay up in the high 90s through Sunday, dropping back into the high 80s on Monday.

Next week is expected to cool off into the mid 80s.

The average temperature for this time of year is about 71 degrees, according to Wunderground.com. This time last year, temperatures were in the mid 80s as April ended and dropped into the mid 60s in the first week of May.
