Salvation Army Facing Turkey Donation Shortage
Around 400 turkeys will still need to be collected before the December 20 Toy & Joy Distribution.

From the Salvation Army Del Oro Division: The Salvation Army of Concord is seeking help to receive additional donated frozen turkeys. Around 400 turkeys will still need to be collected before the December 20th Toy & Joy Distribution.
"We want to make sure that all of the families we’re assisting will not only have the toys but also the food for the holidays,” said Major Glen Madsen, Concord Salvation Army Corps Officer. “The turkeys are essential part of what we distribute, and I hope we can make up this shortage before our event.”
Donors can drop off a frozen turkey at The Salvation Army Concord Corps Community Center, located at 3950 Clayton Road in Concord, from 8:30 AM to 4:40 PM (except Sunday).
The Salvation Army of Concord will assist nearly 1000 families this Christmas season.
