The Least Expensive Homes For Sale In Concord

Check out this three-bedroom home that's listed at under $300,000

Home prices continue to rise, although not quite as quickly as earlier this year.

The S&P/Case Shiller composite index released today showed home prices nationally rose 1 percent in May on a seasonally adjusted basis. That was lower than the monthly 1.7 percent rise in April.

From year to year, prices nationally jumped 12.2 percent from May 2012, the largest annual hike since March 2006.

All 20 metropolitan areas in the composite index showed increases, led by the San Francisco Bay Area with a 24 percent yearly increase.

With all that in mind, we thought we'd search this week for some of the least expensive homes on the market in our communities.

In Concord, this three-bedroom, one-bathroom home at 2912 The Alameda is listed at $250,000.

The 1,129-square-foot house was built in 1947 and sits on a seventh of an acre. It's described as a "fixer opportunity."
