Where Do You Park During Downtown Events?
The free parking lots can get full very quickly for popular events in the plaza like the Music and Market Series. What's your secret to snagging a spot?
Finding a parking space in downtown Concord is usually pretty easy — except when a popular event is happening in the plaza, like the free summer concerts and farmers' markets.
There are three free parking garages around the plaza: the Salvio Street Parking Garage, the Todos Santos Parking Center and the Brenden Theater Garage. Street parking is also free, but the spaces on Salvio Street are closed off during events like the twice weekly farmers' market. The parking lots can fill up quickly, and so too can the surrounding residential areas.
So, what's the secret to getting downtown without hassle? Commenters on the Concord Patch Facebook page say the answer is simple: "leave the car at hoem and walk" or "get a ride."
