8 Coronado Preps Make All-CIF Teams in Swim, Lacrosse

Eight Coronado prep athletes made the spring all-CIF teams, signifying that they were top performers in the region.

The student-athletes made the teams in boys swimming and girls and boys lacrosse. More than 200 teens were honored in 13 sports.

Those who made the first teams are: 

• Putnam Brown, senior, boys swim (the video above depicts highlights of the boys and girls swim teams' seasons)
• Jack Perkins and Kevin Fahey, seniors, boys lacrosse
• Martha Byrne, junior; Caroline Carlson and Kate Pederson, seniors, girls lacrosse

Those on the second teams are:

• Trent Schulte, junior, boys lacrosse
• Sarah Andersen, junior, girls lacrosse

The honorees are invited to the Spring Sports Awards at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, at the Hall of Champions in Balboa Park.
