Want to Serve? Try a City Commission - There's 5 Open Spots

The City of Coronado has five vacancies on three local commissions:

  • the Civil Service Commission,
  • the Historic Resource Commission, and
  • the Planning Commission.

Applicants can pick up information at the City Clerk's Office at City Hall, 1825 Strand Way, or by visiting the boards and commissions page on the city of Coronado website. (Or go to the City's website, click on Government, then General Government, then Boards and Commissions.)

A list of all boards, commissions and committees can be found, as well as applications. There is also an annual notice of vacancies, in case a particular board or commission is of interest to you.

Applications are accepted throughout the year to fill scheduled and unscheduled vacancies. Applications filed are good for a full year. Regular appointments are made throughout the year as vacancies occur.

Terms are three years with a possibility of reappointment for a second three-year term.

For more information, call the city clerk at (619) 522-7320.
