Arlyn Artman Dies at 60; Was Graduate of Coronado High School
She retired from the Employment Development Department in 2007 as the chief of staff for Southern Workforce Services Division.

Arlyn Artman—a graduate of Coronado High School—died March 31 of cancer, according to an obituary in U-T San Diego.
She was 60.
Artman had lived in San Diego since leaving Norfolk, VA, at the age of 6, the U-T said.

“She … retired from the Employment Development Department in 2007 as the chief of staff for Southern Workforce Services Division. She loved family, friends, games of chance, singing, laughter, the occasional round of golf and was always at the center of various girls trips that were organized around favorite activities,” U-T reported.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Artman, her brother Charles; sister Rosann and brother-in-law Joel.

Memorial services are set 11 a.m. Monday, April 8, in the Glen Abbey main building Chapel in Bonita.
