Coronado Property Values Up 2.46%
The San Diego County Assessor's office reported property values were up 3 percent overall in San Diego County for a total value of $408 billion.

Overall property value in Coronado has seen a 2.46 percent increase in the last year, according to data released by the San Diego County Assessor last week.
The overall assessed value in Coronado increased from $6.82 bilion to $6.99 billion. The properties were valued as of Jan. 1, 2013.
Neighboring Imperial Beach saw a 3.27 percent increase to $1.49 billion. San Diego saw a 4.25 percent increase to $194 billion.
With a 6.82 percent increase, Del Mar saw the largest increase in assessed value of any city in San Diego County.

The county saw a 3.4Â percent increase in all property and likely will produce an additional $3.9 billion in property taxes.
"The residential real estate market improved in the last six months of 2012," Assessor Ernest Dronenburg said. "The improved residential market required our office to partially or totally restore temporarily reduced rates as the market value on many properties exceeded the values calculated pursuant to Prop. 13. In addition, we experience positive change in ownership and new construction activity."Â
