Coronado Crackdown: Patrol Officers Issue Hundreds of Citations in 'Max Enforcement' Effort
Coronado Police Department and California Highway Patrol officers conducted a maximum enforcement day last week.

CORONADO, CA - Local law enforcement officials issued hundreds of citations last week in a Coronado crackdown aimed at curbing irresponsible driving.
Coronado Police Department patrol officers teamed up with three from the California Highway Patrol to coordinate the "maximum enforcement day" on Tuesday, March 28, according to a community alert. The concerted effort spanned 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
During that time, officers issued 239 traffic citations, which included to misdemeanors, they said. Additionally, four vehicles were towed. Nearly 30 parking violations were also issued.
