Patch Pet: Duchess

Not only is Duchess regal in her demeanor, she is also quite a beauty. Black Smoke cats have fur that is white at its base with black tips – an exotic looking mix especially when you ruffle her fur. 

Sometimes a cat is not a good fit for a family, and we think this may have been the case with Duchess.  In the cat community room, she gets along fine with the other cats, greets all of the volunteers, loves being petted and thoroughly enjoys riding in the pet stroller.

Duchess is looking for a home where she will be loved and appreciated for who she is.  In return, she will reward you with unconditional loyalty and loving companionship.  

She would prefer a home without young children, as they rattle her majesty a bit. She also finds catnip quite to her liking, rolling in it like a young kitten.

Stats for Duchess: Female Cat, 4 Years Old, domestic long hair, white with black smoke, shots up to date, spayed, microchipped, adoption fee, $50. If you are interested in an adoption,  you must first complete an application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Cat Adoption Counselor.

Hurry down to the ACF and get to know Duchess or other pets available at the Coronado Animal Care Facility any day between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. (except holidays). The Coronado Animal Care Facility is located at 1395 1st Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.
