End to $1 Billion Airport Project Opens Up Hundreds of Parking Spaces
About half have been closed off intermittently for Terminal 2 construction.

Do you drive to the airport from Coronado or prefer shuttles?
If you head on over in your car, you'll be pleased to know that Lindbergh Field officials say 600 parking spaces in the short-term lot that was closed for construction at Terminal 2 have been reopened.
The parking lot now has a total of 1,300 spots.

The lot was completely closed in April 2011 to give room for the $1 billion terminal expansion project, which includes a dual-level roadway for arriving and departing passengers.
About 700 spaces were brought back last July, according to the airport.

Six of the 10 planned new gates in Terminal 2 have gone into service. New restaurants and stores have also opened.
A grand opening is planned for August.
