A proposal to post a 60-foot flagpole at the park as a welcoming beacon to visitors and Navy ships returning to Coronado will be open for discussion.
The Unified Port of San Diego, which has jurisdiction over land use at the park, will host the meeting.
The idea has been supported by City Council members and county Supervisor Greg Cox, but opposed by some residents of nearby condominiums.
