Coronado Fire Department Hosts Annual Open House

It's the 20th anniversary for the hosts of the fire department's annual Open House.


The event, which takes place during national Fire Prevention Week, includes activities for children, such as face-painting and a coloring contest, and demonstrations from firefighters and other public safety agencies.


The police also will register residents' bicycles for free at their booth.

Officials from the Bureau of Land Management, Naval Base Coronado, Imperial Beach, California Department of Forestry, Coronado police, San Diego County Sheriff's Department, San Diego Police Department and San Diego Harbor Police are expected to attend.


Hot dogs will be free while supplies last and musical performers are set to appear.
