Gas Prices Near Coronado Continue To Dip Before Independence Day Weekend
AAA Travel predicts more than 44 million Americans will journey 50 miles or more between June 30 and July 4.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA – Gas prices continue to drop in San Diego County heading into Independence Day Weekend – when a record number of people are expected to travel.
AAA Travel is predicting more than 44 million Americans will journey 50 miles or more between June 30 and July 4, making this year’s Fourth of July the busiest ever recorded. That number includes an estimated 37.5 million people traveling by automobile.
“A record 3.1 million Southern Californians are expected to travel over the Fourth of July, and they will likely be paying about the same to gas up as they did at this time last year,” Auto Club spokesman Jeffrey Spring said in a statement. “This means that summer travelers will enjoy the lowest gas prices for the Independence Day holiday since 2009."
