R3 Strategic Snags $55 Million Air Force Contract
The Orange Avenue firm is run by retired Navy veterans.

A Coronado small business that employs retired military explosive ordnance technicians has been awarded a $55 million contract to serve the Air Force.
R3 Strategic Support Group, according to the San Diego Business Journal, Â has been signed on for one guaranteed year, with four option years to follow.Â
If the contract is completed the firm will receive the full value under the terms.
The firm, at 875 Orange Ave., is led by a group of retired Navy officers and offers services ranging from measures to counter improvised explosive devices to analysis and training.
According to the report, the firm's revenues for last year were $4.3 million. The Business Journal noted R3's 138 percent increase in revenue when ranking it as a fastest-growing private company locally.Â
