Which Streets Will Be Closed for the July Fourth Parade?

Where can you park and more importantly, NOT park, once Coronado's July 4th Parade is underway?

As the city notes forcefully on its website (in all caps and bolded): Any cars on the parade route once barricades are up “will be cited and towed.”

Here's your simple guide:

  • Orange Avenue will be shut down in both directions during the parade from First Street to RH Dana Place. Orange Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Other streets along the parade route will be closed from 4:30 a.m. to around 3 p.m.
  • Streets around the staging area - bounded by First Street to the north, Orange Avenue to the east, Third Street to the south and Palm Avenue to the west - will be closed to through traffic.
  • Away from the parade route, no parking will be allowed on part of State 75 near Naval Amphibious Base Coronado from 4:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4.
If you want to know where porta potties, handicap parking, first-aid tents and other details surrounding the parade see the attached map.
