Where can you park and more importantly, NOT park, once Coronado's July 4th Parade is underway?
As the city notes forcefully on its website (in all caps and bolded): Any cars on the parade route once barricades are up “will be cited and towed.”
Here's your simple guide:
- Orange Avenue will be shut down in both directions during the parade from First Street to RH Dana Place. Orange Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Other streets along the parade route will be closed from 4:30 a.m. to around 3 p.m.
- Streets around the staging area - bounded by First Street to the north, Orange Avenue to the east, Third Street to the south and Palm Avenue to the west - will be closed to through traffic.
- Away from the parade route, no parking will be allowed on part of State 75 near Naval Amphibious Base Coronado from 4:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4.
