‘Hot n Cold:’ How Will Katy Perry Treat Navy Lt. Clayton Heyward?

The F-18 pilot, in asking the pop star to a Fresno ball via YouTube, has followed a recent trend of military members asking stars like Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis to galas.

Would you say yes to a Navy pilot and lieutenant if he asked you to a ball?

More to the point, would you say yes if you were pop star Katy Perry?

The Military Times reports that Lt. Clayton Heyward, an F-18 pilot, created a YouTube video calling on the artist to accompany him to the fall gala, in Fresno.

In remarks posted to the video, Heyward said:

“On the heels of my second deployment to Afghanistan, I was able to squeeze this video out days before heading to sea aboard the USS Nimitz. On my return this part-time extraterrestrial hopes to take Katy to the West Coast Hornet Ball for F-18 pilots.”

And yes, Heyward got fancy: He adapted a version of Perry's song E.T. in making his request.
