Woman Found Dead In Glorietta Bay In Coronado
The body of Patricia Viola, 68, was found floating in the harbor, authorities said.
CORONADO, CA — Authorities Tuesday publicly identified a woman who was found dead this week in Glorietta Bay.
The body of Patricia Viola, 68, was found floating in the harbor off the 1900 block of Strand Way in Coronado about 7 p.m. Monday, sheriff's Lt. Thomas Seiver said.
It did not appear that Viola had suffered any suspicious injuries, according to Seiver. Still, the "circumstances warranted further investigation," so the county Sheriff's Department, which is contracted to provide services to the city of Coronado, was notified and assigned its homicide unit to the case, the lieutenant said.
