Wounded Veterans Jobs Conference Set for Oct. 29

The San Diego event will feature private sector and government employers.

Wounded service members will have the chance to meet with more than 50 prospective employers during the third annual Wounded Warrior Hiring and Support Conference, set to begin its two-day run at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Oct. 29, Navy officials have announced.

Private sector and federal government agencies, including the Department of the Navy, will accept resumes at the conference with the theme "Hiring our Nation's Heroes - Rise to the Challenge - Diversify Your Workforce!” Support organizations will also be on hand to offer advice and connect attendees with resources, according to Navy officials.

The conference aims to build employers' capabilities for hiring returning service members with disabilities.
