3 Arrested On Suspicion Of Car Theft, Pursuit In Culver City
Officers saw a vehicle reported stolen at the Westfield Culver City mall and a pursuit ensued.
CULVER CITY, CA — Two teenage boys and one adult were arrested Saturday in the unincorporated Ladera Heights area following the pursuit of a stolen Mercedes from a Culver City mall, a crash into multiple cars and a three-hour perimeter search, authorities said.
It started about 2:45 p.m. when officers observed a vehicle reported stolen at the Westfield Culver City mall, Culver City police Sgt. J. Zerbey said.
The pursuit lasted about a minute, until the Mercedes sedan crashed into multiple cars around Slauson and Shenandoah avenues in Ladera Heights, Zerbey said. The California Highway Patrol indicated the Mercedes hit four other vehicles.

The three suspects fled the crash scene and a perimeter search began that ended when a police dog sniffed them out, Zerbey said.
All three suspects were known South Los Angeles gang members, he said.

There were no injuries in the crash, Zerbey said.
