Blood Donation Center Set To Open In Culver City
Donors who are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus will not be required to wear a face mask, the Red Cross said.
CULVER CITY, CA — The Red Cross is bringing members of the Culver City area a new, ongoing opportunity to help out people in need: a new blood and platelet donation center.
Located at 5359 Sepulveda Blvd., the collection center is set to open its doors on July 19.
Members hoping to make a donation can schedule an appointment in advance online.

In a news release, the Red Cross said donors who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus should know and provide the name of the manufacturer of the vaccine. In most cases, there is no deferral time for vaccinated people.
Donors will also be tested for COVID-19 antibodies, the Red Cross said. Test results are made available after 2 days.

According to the release, only people who feel healthy should donate. Donors who have been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus are no longer required to wear a face mask.
As of writing, masks were still required for donors who are not fully vaccinated.
