Culver City Hosts Annual Tower Lighting To Kick Off Holiday Seas

This free festive holiday event is open to all ages.

From Culver City: Culver City's Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is excited to announce that its Annual Tower Lighting will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Veterans Memorial Building, located at 4117 Overland Ave., from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm. This free festive holiday event is open to all members of the public of all ages.

The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. closely followed by City officials lighting the tower tree high atop the Veterans Memorial Building. Santa will arrive with the assistance from the Culver City Fire Department and then snow sledding, a moon bounce, arts & crafts, photos with Santa and other activities will begin! We will also have a Winter Passport for kids to collect stamps and receive a prize. All activities and our stage performances will be outdoors.
“The PRCS Department is excited to enhance this annual tradition with new experiences and activities including snow, inflatables, food trucks and more in order to continue enhancing the quality of life in Culver City,” says Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department Director Corey Lakin.

Performers and presenters on the entertainment stage will include: Culver City Boy Scouts, Culver City High School Choir and Brass Ensemble, Tiny Tots Ballet & Tap, Shotokan Karate-Do, Core Martial Arts, Beyond Pre-K en español and more. Each of these groups will bring something festive to the evening’s event. There will also be a SkateSide demonstration in the parking lot.
Food trucks will be onsite including Richeeze Melts specialty grilled cheese, the Green Olive Truck Mediterranean cuisine, and Fat Queso quesadillas.

Parking for the event is available in the Veterans Memorial Park parking lot along Culver Blvd. as well as at the Culver City Senior Center at 4095 Overland Ave.
