The cameras may be in use as soon as early August.

CULVER CITY, CA — The Culver City Police Department announced Monday it is equipping all patrol officers with body-worn cameras. The cameras may be in use as early as the end of August.

"The body-worn cameras' recording systems will provide records of events and assist officers in the performance of their duties, and ultimately help to more effectively fulfill our organization's mission of safely serving our community," according to a police statement.
