Drive-Thru Food Distribution Planned For Veterans This Weekend

Veterans and military families are invited to a drive-thru food distribution this weekend in Culver City. Find out the details.

CULVER CITY, CA — A drive-thru food distribution event for veterans and military families is slated for Saturday in Culver City, Los Angeles County Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell, who represents the county's Second District, announced Thursday.

The event will provide resources and food for veterans and military families from 10 a.m. to noon at Culver City Senior Center, 4095 Overland Ave., Culver City.

It's is hosted by Mitchell, the County of Los Angeles Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, and the Culver City Recreation & Community Services Department. Food at the event will be donated by SEE-LA, an organization that provides food to low-to-moderate income Los Angeles residents while also supporting California farms.

"Following safety guidelines, volunteers will be on-site to guide and place groceries directly into vehicles," according to Mitchell in a news release. "The Veteran Peer Access Network will also be present to share resources for veterans and military families."
