DUI, Driver's License Checkpoint Slated For Westside Friday
A DUI, driver's license checkpoint is planned Friday near Baldwin Hills, LAPD reports.

BALDWIN HILLS, CA — A DUI, driver's license checkpoint is planned Friday night in the Baldwin Hills area, Los Angeles Police Department officials said.
The checkpoint will happen from 6 to 11 p.m. at La Brea Avenue at Obama Boulevard, according to LAPD.
Police will conduct traffic stops at several locations throughout Los Angeles for the upcoming weekend.

"Sobriety Checkpoints are placed in locations based on collision statistics and frequency of DUI arrests," LAPD said in a news release. "Officers will be looking for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment and checking drivers for proper licensing."
