Firefighters Battle Duplex Fire In South L.A.

Crews were working to put out a structure fire in the Jefferson Park community of South Los Angeles Sunday morning.

CULVER CITY, CA — Fire crews quelled a fire at a one-story duplex in the Jefferson Park community of South Los Angeles on Sunday morning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters were in "offensive mode" working to suppress the fire Sunday morning as heavy smoke was billowed from the fire, which was reported around 10:19 a.m., officials said.

No other information was immediately available.
