Fun Ideas For Your Next Corporate Outing

Six exciting ideas that can help team building at work.

Deciding what to do for a fun corporate outing can be a challenge for many. There are so many options to consider, such as safety, location, and cost. But have no fear, we’ve got you covered. Listed below are some of our favorite ideas for corporate events that are fun, engaging, and won’t break the budget.

1. Mystery Dinner
Mystery dinners are great ways to get everyone together for some good food, conversation, and laughter according to The Tech Info Group. But what makes a mystery dinner you ask? A mystery dinner is simply an outing to a restaurant, chosen ahead of time but not revealed to the people going, that is completely paid for by the company. Generally the only thing you will tell the people going is the date and time of the dinner, until the afternoon the dinner is going to take place. Then, you send the group an email with the address of the restaurant they will be going, so they have an opportunity to make travel arrangements with each other. This is an excellent way to promote team building and strengthen collaboration and communication among employees.

2. Kayaking
Another excellent outing idea for employees is to go outside, get some fresh air, grab a paddle, and do some kayaking or canoeing. It’s generally not very hard to find places to go nearby. The majority of public ponds and rivers have boat houses that you can rent canoes and kayaks from. To help everyone get the most out of the experience, consider encouraging them to rent kayaks or canoes that can fit two people, and suggest they team up with people they don’t normally work with so they can get to know each other better.
