Funeral for Culver City High Coach Dave Sanchez on Saturday

Dave Sanchez, the 58-year-old Culver City High School Coach passed away Wednesday, a year after he was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer.

Sanchez, who was chosen as the 2012 Culver City Coach of the Year, was also the Grand Marshall for the 2012 Fiesta La Ballona ceremonies.

Sanchez’s funeral will take place tomorrow – Sat. Feb 23 at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City. There will be a viewing from 1 – 3 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 3 p.m.

Sanchez is survived by his wife, Chevy and his five children, Kety, Kurt, Nikko, Nate and Aaron.
