We’re having a heat wave a tropical heat wave… And so the story goes. So what better reason to escape my blistering condo for the cool indoors of Luna Grill, only two songs away from where we live.
It’s hard to eat much when you’re hot, so it was a real pleasure to sit down and feast on the new offerings at Luna Grill, nestled near the bustling downtown Culver City area.
It’s National Grilling Month, and Luna Grill is featuring both Chicken and Veggie Kabobs cooked over an open fire and served with organic original or spicy humus and rice. The chicken is ample, tender, its flavor enhanced with just enough marinade to make it interesting.

While waiting for the chicken, we dove into Luna Grill’s Dip Trio appetizer, a flavorful dipping platter of spicy feta, garlic sauce, humus and veggies. I preferred the humus, although my dining companion demolished the spicier feta and garlic sauces with pure abandon.
If you’re hungry, come to this place. There’s more than enough food and if you’re lucky, you might even take home a doggy bag.
