“The city mourns with great sadness the passing of Rick Hudson. On behalf of the entire City, my colleagues and I on the City Council send sincerest condolences to Rick’s family,” said Culver City Mayor Meghan Sahli-Wells. “Everyone who had the pleasure of calling Rick a friend knew his sincere and passionate commitment to Culver City, especially to the youth of our community. His unexpected passing has taken one of the most strident advocates for youth from our City. His warmth of heart, welcoming smile, and gentle spirit will be sorely missed.”

In lieu of flowers or cards, the family urges that donations be made payable in the name of Rick Hudson to the Charitable Foundation of the Exchange Club of Culver City, where a youth scholarship in Rick’s name will be established. Donations should be sent to The Charitable Foundation of the Exchange Club at 10801 Washington Blvd., Culver City, CA 90232.
