Pasta Sisters Donates Comfort Food To Those In Need
The family-owned restaurant & pasta shop provided 160 scaloppine dinners to Grace Lutheran Church's "Grace Diner" program in Culver City.

CULVER CITY, CA — Pasta Sisters, a popular, family-run Italian restaurant and pasta shop, joined the "Feed Culver" effort last week with a donation of 160 meals to those in need at Grace Lutheran Church's "Grace Diner" program in Culver City.
"Pasta is one of the most comforting dishes, and I think many Angelenos can use some comfort and food that makes them feel good, especially right now," said Giorgia Sinatra, Pasta Sisters' brand manager.
The church, operating its "Grace Diner" grab-and-go food bank, is among area charities joining the Feed Culver endeavor to help those struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic. Pasta Sisters, which has location in Mid-City and on Helms Avenue in Culver City, learned of Feed Culver from local civic leaders.

"As part of the Helms Bakery District, the restaurant team has regular meetings with the city and Culver City Chamber of Commerce, and that was when they brought Pasta Sisters’ attention to the Feed Culver initiative," said Sinatra of Pasta Sisters, one of several local restaurants contributing to the effort, despite their own struggles to stay afloat amid coronavirus-mandated shutdowns of in-house dining.
The Feed Culver undertaking, which organizes distribution of daily, free meals for the food-insecure, seniors and the homeless, was pulled together by the Culver City community through city officials, local eateries, the Exchange Club, Culver City Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Business Association. As an added bonus: The program helps keep local restaurants open and their employees working, officials said.

Pasta Sisters is keeping its doors open with takeout and delivery orders, Sinatra said.
"It definitely took some time for people to adapt to the new takeout/delivery only system," she said. "But it seems that folks are now more inclined to ordering out more and supporting local businesses."
For the Grace Diner project, four of its employees cooked, prepped and boxed the Chicken Scaloppine dinners, complete with roasted broccoli, mashed potatoes, salad and the eatery's homemade focaccia bread. Feed Culver volunteers then helped over two days to get the food from the restaurant to the church, she said.
Pasta Sisters locations at 3343 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles in the Mid-City area and at 3280 Helms Ave. in Culver City are open for to-go and delivery. See details here.
