A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in Culver City Thursday afternoon. Metro's Expo line is now closed from Culver City to Palms.

CULVER CITY, CA — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train Thursday afternoon in Culver City, halting train service on the Metro Expo line in the area, officials said.

The incident happened about 12:57 p.m. Thursday near Exposition Boulevard and Bagley Avenue, a Los Angeles police dispatcher told Patch.

Metro train service was stopped between the Culver City and Palms Stations due to the fatality, according to Metro Los Angeles.
