Rams Long Snapper Jake McQuaide Selected For Pro Bowl
The Pro Bowl selection is the first for McQuaide, who has played six seasons in the NFL, all with the Rams, never missing a game.
LOS ANGELES, CA -- Los Angeles Rams long snapper Jake McQuaide was selected Wednesday to play in the Pro Bowl.
McQuaide was selected by Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett, who will coach the NFC team in the NFL's all-star game Jan. 29 in Orlando, Florida, as a "need" player. The NFL stipulates that the coach of each team choose a "need" player, and those players must be long snappers.
The Pro Bowl selection is the first for McQuaide, who has played six seasons in the NFL, all with the Rams, never missing a game.

McQuaide snapped on all 98 of Johnny Hekker's punts and Greg Zuerlein's 22 field-goal attempts and 23 extra-point kicks in 2016. He helped Hekker establish NFL single-season records for punts placed inside opponents' 20-yard line (51) and single-season net punting average (46.0).
Hekker and defensive tackle Aaron Donald were previously announced as Pro Bowl selections.
