Suspect Could Be Tied To Multiple Burglaries, Police Say

A burglary suspect could be connected to multiple burglaries in the area, Culver City police say.

CULVER CITY, CA — A man suspected of burglary was arrested Tuesday and could be connected to multiple other burglaries in the area, according to the Culver City Police Department.

Officers responded to a reported burglary at a vacant residence about 8 a.m. Tuesday in the 11300 block of Herbert St., near Sawtelle Boulevard, police said.

Officers arrived and saw a man outside the location sitting on an orange, electric bicycle, police said.

"Culver City Police Officers immediately recognized the subject as a serial burglary suspect who had committed at least five burglaries/thefts throughout Culver City," police said.

The suspect, whose name was not immediately released, was detained and arrested on suspicion of burglary, police said.

"CCPD Officers detained the subject and found him to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and burglary tools," police said. "Additionally, the electronic bike the suspect was riding, along with an additional folding electronic bike in his possession, were determined to be stolen."

The two bicycles were returned to their owner, police said.
