2nd Victim Reported In Sunnyvale Mobile Home Fire

A 67-year-old woman who was rescued from the fire died from her injuries Friday, officials said.

SUNNYVALE, CA — A second person has died as the result of a mobile home fire Monday evening, according to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

A 71-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel who responded to the fire about 9:50 p.m. in the 600 block of East Weddell Drive and found the mobile home engulfed.

A 67-year-old woman was rescued from the fire and hospitalized in critical condition, but later died from her injuries, officials announced Friday.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation, but officials said there was no immediate sign of foul play.
