9 Santa Clara Unified Schools Honored

The schools were selected for advancing their student achievement levels.

SANTA CLARA, CA — Nine schools in the Santa Clara Unified School District were honored for their leadership in advancing students to the honor roll, the agency announced Wednesday.

The Educational Results Partnership and the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence analyzed the student data for every public school and district in California. The following schools were identified as 2018-2019 Honor Roll schools:

  • Bracher Elementary
  • Haman Elementary
  • Hughes Elementary
  • Laurelwood Elementary
  • Mayne Elementary
  • Millikin Basics+ Elementary
  • Westwood Elementary
  • Santa Clara High
  • Wilcox High

The 2018-2019 Honor Roll recognizes schools and school districts that have demonstrated consistent high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement levels over time and a reduction in achievement gaps among student populations.

For districts with high schools, the Honor Roll recognition also includes measures of college readiness. This year, the California Honor Roll recognized 26 higher-performing districts and 1,831 higher-performing schools.
