Students in grades 5 through 8 are invited to participate in the American History Essay Contest, sponsored by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Santa Clara Chapter.
March, 5, 2020, marked the 250th anniversary of the Boston Massacre, considered to be a pivotal event that paved the way toward the American Revolution. Learn about this event and share your thoughts by writing an essay from the point of view of a witness to the events of this day.

The Daughters of the American Revolution is a nonprofit, nonpolitical volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting historic preservation, education and patriotism. Any woman age 18 or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible to become a member.
