KOHL’S CARES® SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM NOMINATION PERIOD ENDS MARCH 15

Kohl’s is honoring more than 2,200 young volunteers, ages six to 18, who have made a positive impact on their communities with more than $420,000 in scholarships and prizes; top winners receive $10,000 each WHAT:         Only two weeks remain to nominate young volunteers for the Kohl’s  Cares® Scholarship Program. Kids ages six to 18 who have made a  positive impact on their communities can be awarded scholarships and  prizes, ranging from $50 Kohl’s gift cards to $10,000 scholarships. To nominate volunteers ages six to 18 for a Kohl’s Cares scholarship,  visitwww.kohlskids.com. Nominations are accepted through March 15,  and nominators must be 21 years or older. Through the Kohl’s Cares  Scholarship Program, Kohl’s aims to honor young volunteers who have  made a difference in their communities by helping invest in their future.  Past winners have been recognized for a variety of activities including  volunteering with disabled children, raising money for a local animal  shelter and creating a foundation to raise money for cancer research. Kohl’s will reward more than 2,200 kids nationwide on the store, regional  and national levels for their volunteer efforts with more than $420,000 in  scholarships and prizes.
  • Store Winners: Two nominees from each of the more than 1,100 Kohl’s stores nationwide will win a $50 Kohl’s gift card.
  • Regional Winners: More than 200 of the store winners will win regional scholarships worth $1,000 toward post-secondary education.
  • National Winners: Ten of the regional winners will receive the national award of a total of $10,000 in scholarships for post-secondary education and Kohl’s will donate $1,000 to a nonprofit organization on each national winner’s behalf.
