California App For New Year's Eve Designated Drivers Available

Among the features, one screen allows 'expecting drinkers' to order a future, sober ride from Uber, Lyft or Curb.

An app first released last year by the California Office of Traffic Safety is again available, and meant for the Designated Driver.

DD-VIP is a free free download for iOS and Android devices.

According to the CA OTS, users can use features like a “List of Spots” to search all participating bars and restaurants throughout California where they’ll find free offers like non-alcohol drinks, appetizers and more.
