California App For New Year's Eve Designated Drivers Available
Among the features, one screen allows 'expecting drinkers' to order a future, sober ride from Uber, Lyft or Curb.

An app first released last year by the California Office of Traffic Safety is again available, and meant for the Designated Driver.
DD-VIP is a free free download for iOS and Android devices.
According to the CA OTS, users can use features like a “List of Spots” to search all participating bars and restaurants throughout California where they’ll find free offers like non-alcohol drinks, appetizers and more.

And for those who want to imbibe but also make it a point to plan ahead, users can easily order a sober ride from Uber, Lyft or Curb – all from one screen.
